Markets: Diabolus

From Darkipedia

Diabolus Market was founded in 2014 and was later renamed to “Silk Road 3 Reloaded” after the seizure of the second Silk Road in order to gain more users and popularity by using the most widely recognized dark-net brand. The lead administrators went by the usernames “Dmitry”, “Bilbobaggins”, and “Polygon”, all of whom claimed to be from the Russian Federation, and prohibited all Russian users from using their marketplace. The marketplace only accepted Bitcoin for transactions, did not offer Multi-signature escrow, and primarily focused on drugs and digital goods, but allowed other products and services, including those related to weapons, were allowed to be sold. They usually allowed users to sign up for vendor accounts and create listings without requiring any sort of vendor bond or vetting, though vendors who wanted to use the finalize-early function had to pay a fee, this lead wide-spread scamming of buyers on the marketplace.

Sometime during 2015, they launched another marketplace called “Crypto Market”, which was a clone of Silk Road 3 and was basically used as a back-up market because the main marketplace had undergone long-term maintenance. Crypto Market was publicly listed and linked to on DeepDotWeb and related sites, whereas Silk Road 3 was not because the operators of many dark-net directories believed that any market calling itself “Silk Road” after the seizure of the second Silk Road, was nothing more than a scam trying to capitalize on the most widely known dark-net brand.

Silk Road 3 was back in operation once again in early 2017 when Crypto Market was put under-long term maintenance, and shut down in an exit-scam sometime during mid-2017.
