Markets: CannaHome

From Darkipedia

CannaHome was launched on September 16 of 2019 and shut down on April 18, 2022 following an announcement made 8 days prior which announced it was shutting down. It was the successor to CGMC, which closed down during May of 2019, and used the same code and design. Like its’ predecessor, it only allowed Cannabis, magic mushrooms/Psilocybin, and related products to be sold by vendors, and only vendors who were well established on other marketplaces were allowed to sell their wares. It received some criticism by users for later implementing a Litecoin payment option alongside its’ existing one for Bitcoin, while refusing to implement a payment option for the most popular cryptocurrency centered around anonymity, Monero. In order to protect users’ funds from being stolen, CannaHome did not have a traditional escrow and only offered users’ the ability to either directly pay the vendor or use the sites’ Multi-Signature escrow.

Some news outlets have referred to CannaHome as being a competitor of the now-defunct cannabis-only market known as Cannazon. However, the two markets were not competitors at all considering that CannaHome prohibited all users who were not located within the United States from using the market and allowed Psilocybin products to be sold, whereas Cannazon only prohibited users located within the United States and was strictly a cannabis-only market.
