Markets: CGMC

From Darkipedia

The Cannabis Growers and Merchants Cooperative (CGMC) was founded in June of 2016 and closed down on May 12, 2019. It was an invite-only marketplace that focused on offering “low-risk substances”, specifically only Cannabis and Psilocybin mushrooms and other products related to them. It only allowed vendors from the United States who were well established on other marketplaces to sell their products on the marketplace. Transactions could be made with Bitcoin and Litecoin. In order to protect users’ funds from being stolen, the market refused to offer traditional escrow, but instead, offered users to either pay directly to the vendor or use the sites’ Multi-Signature escrow. The five product categories displayed on the site were Flowers, Concentrates, Carts, Edibles, and Shrooms, with the “Flowers” category having four sub-categories, Sativa, Indica, Hybrid, and CBD strains. After its’ closure in May of 2019, roughly four months later a new market, “CannaHome”, was launched which used the same code and design as CGMC, and was very much like its’ predecessor in nearly all aspects. It isn’t quite clear as to whether or not the two markets were operated by the same people.
