White House Market was a darknet market launched on 22 August 2019. It became famous for its uncompromising stance on privacy: it was the largest market to go fully Monero-only (ending Bitcoin support in December 2020), enforced PGP encryption for all communications, and ran its own bug bounty program.
White House also launched a harm reduction program alongside Dark0de in June 2021. On 1 October 2021, the administration voluntarily retired the market, allowing all users to withdraw funds first. It is widely regarded as the most privacy-conscious major market of its era.
