Valhalla Market, known in Finnish as Silkkitie ("Silk Road"), was one of the oldest darknet markets in existence, having operated for over five years and grown out of Finland's long-running online drug scene. It served a primarily European user base with Bitcoin payments.
In May 2019, Finnish Customs (Tulli) seized the marketplace in cooperation with Europol, taking down one of the oldest sites still operating at the time. The takedown also yielded evidence used in subsequent investigations.
