TradeRoute was a darknet market launched in January 2017. Following the Operation Bayonet seizures of AlphaBay and Hansa in July 2017, it absorbed a large influx of displaced users and briefly became one of the most popular markets in the ecosystem.
In October 2017, TradeRoute was hacked and extorted, and shortly afterwards it exit scammed — shutting down and taking users' escrowed funds with it.
