DeepSea Market was a darknet market launched in March 2019, run by a team that also operated the vendor-shop platform Imperiya. It grew steadily through 2019 and 2020, offering Bitcoin and Monero payments.
In early May 2021 the administration announced an abrupt closure citing DDoS attacks and technical issues. Users reported that withdrawals had been blocked beforehand, and the closure was widely regarded as an exit scam.
